A classic pair of vintage Ercol Model 391 stick-back dining chairs, dating from the 1960s.
Designed with the clean, practical lines associated with Ercol’s mid-century furniture, each chair features a gently curved stick back, shaped solid elm seat and elegant turned beech legs joined by supporting stretchers.
Their compact proportions make them particularly versatile. They are ideal as dining chairs but could also be used separately as kitchen, desk, bedroom or occasional chairs.
The combination of warm natural timber, simple craftsmanship and understated form allows the chairs to sit comfortably within mid-century, contemporary, farmhouse and more traditional interiors.
Offered as a matching pair, these are attractive and practical examples of enduring British furniture design.
