A superb Victorian walnut compactum wardrobe dating from the late 19th century, combining hanging space, drawers and shelving within a beautifully proportioned and highly practical design.
Crafted in attractive walnut with decorative carved detailing, this elegant compactum features a full-length original bevelled mirror door, four graduated drawers, a large base drawer and a separate shelved cupboard section. The substantial moulded cornice and quality brass handles complete the period appearance.
The wardrobe section incorporates a particularly useful sliding upper hanging section, allowing easy access to the rail and coat hooks without having to reach deep into the wardrobe.
A wonderful example of Victorian craftsmanship offering excellent storage while retaining all the charm and character of a genuine antique piece.

Condition
Good antique condition overall with age-related wear, marks, scuffs and signs of use commensurate with age. The wardrobe is structurally sound and presents beautifully.
The original bevelled mirror remains in good order and has only minor foxing along the upper edge, consistent with age. The drawers run well and the wardrobe retains its original character and patina throughout.
