A substantial vintage Chinese rosewood low coffee table, beautifully made with a large square panelled top and an elaborately carved base.
The table is made throughout from rosewood, displaying rich colour and attractive striped figuring. The deep apron is decorated with traditional scrolling carvings, continuing into the bold curved feet.
The low proportions and generous size make this a particularly impressive centre table. We especially like the combination of the beautifully figured top and the intricate carving, which gives the piece real presence without appearing overly decorative.
