An elegant Victorian style Admiral Fitzroy barometer presented in a slim mahogany glazed case.
The instrument comprises a central mercury barometer flanked by printed forecast panels titled “Rising” and “Falling”, together with a Fahrenheit thermometer scale below. The decorative dial features Gothic revival architectural detailing in blue and black script, faithfully echoing traditional 19th century examples.
The mahogany case is well proportioned with moulded cornice and base, brass side adjusters and a full glazed front, making it both a practical weather instrument and a decorative wall feature.
