A substantial Victorian mahogany chiffonier, dating from the 19th century, with a highly decorative carved and mirrored back.
The shaped upper section is crowned by an elaborate foliate carved crest and incorporates a central rectangular mirror, flanked by two raised shelves supported on turned columns. The arrangement gives the piece a particularly decorative architectural quality.
Below is a broad mahogany serving surface above a long frieze drawer fitted with decorative brass handles. The lower section comprises a pair of panelled cupboard doors opening to internal shelving, framed by turned columns and standing on a shaped plinth base.
