handsome pair of antique Louis XVI style mahogany dining chairs, with elegant carved detailing, turned and fluted front legs and upholstered seats.
The tall backs feature decorative carved crests and classical detailing, giving the chairs a refined French-inspired appearance. Their relatively compact proportions make them particularly versatile, working equally well as dining chairs, occasional seating or as a decorative pair in a bedroom, hallway or dressing room.
The mahogany frames have developed an attractive warm tone with age and retain plenty of period character.

Both chairs are structurally sound and sturdy.
