A handsome late Victorian mahogany bureau bookcase, designed in the Georgian style and dating to around 1880–1900. Tall, elegant and highly practical, this impressive piece combines glazed display storage, a fall-front writing bureau and generous drawer storage below.

The upper section features two glazed astragal doors with attractive geometric glazing bars, opening to reveal adjustable interior shelving. This makes it ideal for displaying books, glassware, ceramics or decorative objects.

Below, the fall-front bureau section opens to create a useful writing surface, with fitted internal storage for stationery, papers and smaller items. The lower section includes multiple drawers with traditional brass handles, offering further practical storage.

The piece is beautifully proportioned with a rich mahogany tone, attractive figuring to the fall front and classic moulded cornice detail. A statement piece for a study, living room, dining room, library or period interior.
