Title: Antique Mahogany Overmantel Mirror with Shelves c.1890–1910

A striking late Victorian to Edwardian mahogany overmantel mirror with decorative shelving, dating to around c.1890–1910. Grand, architectural and full of period character, this impressive piece would make a beautiful statement above a fireplace, sideboard, console table or large feature wall.

Crafted in a rich dark mahogany finish, the overmantel has a strong antique presence with carved detailing throughout. The design features fluted side columns, carved scroll capitals, a dentil-style cornice, arched gallery detail and two practical display shelves arranged around the central mirror section.

The mirror plate gives the piece depth and decorative impact, while the shelves offer useful space for displaying clocks, candlesticks, ceramics, framed photographs or other decorative objects. It is the sort of piece that brings instant warmth and period atmosphere to a room, with craftsmanship and scale that modern reproductions rarely capture.

This is a genuine antique piece and remains in good antique condition overall. There is age-related wear, marks, scuffs and signs of use throughout, as expected with a piece of this age. The mirror plate appears to be original and has some minor foxing along the top edge. There is also a small section of beading missing from the right-hand side of the upper section; this is not visible from the front when displayed.
