An attractive early 20th century aneroid barometer and thermometer, mounted on a shaped oak wall plaque in a traditional English form. The silvered dial with Rain, Change and Fair indicators is complemented by a dual-scale thermometer displaying both Fahrenheit and Centigrade.
The oak case has a rich, warm patina with attractive grain, showing gentle wear consistent with age, which enhances the overall period character. A classic and practical decorative piece, well suited to a country house, hallway, study or kitchen.
