A characterful antique Victorian pine kitchen dresser, dating from the 19th century.
Often described as a Welsh dresser or housekeeper’s cupboard, this piece combines generous open display shelving with useful enclosed storage. The upper section features a boarded back, moulded cornice and three shelves, making it ideal for displaying crockery, books, kitchenware or decorative pieces.
The lower section has two drawers above a pair of panelled cupboard doors. Inside is a fixed shelf, providing ample storage for larger household items. Decorative corner brackets and the warm natural pine give the dresser a wonderfully rustic country-house appearance.
The upper and lower sections separate for easier transport.
The dresser has plenty of age-related character, including knocks, marks, historic signs of woodworm are present (the piece has been treated as a precaution), historic holes and general wear throughout. These features are consistent with its age and use and add to its authentic appearance. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
A practical and decorative piece, ideal for a farmhouse kitchen, dining room, pantry, utility room or retail display.
