A beautiful antique Victorian mahogany upholstered window seat / long stool, dating to around the mid to late 19th century.
This elegant piece has a rich dark mahogany frame with shaped scroll supports, a turned central stretcher and small castors to the feet. The long, low form makes it ideal for use at the end of a bed, beneath a window, in a hallway, dressing room, living room or as a decorative piano stool.
The seat is upholstered in a beige/gold herringbone style fabric and finished with decorative braid trim around the edge, giving it a refined period look. The carved mahogany frame has a lovely colour and patina, with the sort of craftsmanship and character rarely found in modern furniture.
A very attractive and practical antique stool with plenty of decorative presence.
