A particularly attractive Antique Victorian Mahogany Gate Leg Drop Leaf Table dating from the late nineteenth century and offering both impressive proportions and excellent practicality.

The table features a traditional gate leg mechanism with swinging supports beneath each leaf, allowing it to be folded away when not required and opened to create a generous surface suitable for a variety of uses. The warm mahogany finish, turned supports and original brass castors give the piece genuine Victorian character and charm.

With its substantial size when open and relatively compact footprint when closed, this versatile piece is equally suited as a dining table, occasional table, work table or display table.

Condition

A wonderfully useful Victorian table with excellent proportions. The generous size when extended makes it genuinely practical, while the drop leaf design allows it to be stored compactly when not in use. An increasingly difficult combination to find in period furniture.
