A particularly attractive Antique Regency / Early Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers dating from approximately 1830–1850.
Featuring a practical 2 over 3 drawer arrangement, this chest displays beautifully figured mahogany drawer fronts with elegant grain patterns throughout. Traditional details include cockbeaded drawers, turned wooden knobs and splayed bracket feet, all combining to create a piece with genuine period character.
Its restrained styling allows it to work equally well within both traditional and contemporary interiors, while the generous drawer space makes it an exceptionally useful piece of antique furniture.

Condition
Good antique condition with age-related wear, marks and surface imperfections consistent with nearly two centuries of use. Historic cosmetic wear is present as shown in the photographs. The chest remains structurally sound and ready for everyday use.
We particularly like the honest simplicity of this piece. The figured mahogany drawer fronts are excellent, the proportions are pleasing, and the combination of Regency and early Victorian features gives it the sort of understated character that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in untouched period furniture.
